This is not Roy Hibbert’s fault.

Kobe Bryant hit a huge jumper to put the Lakers up with 12.4 seconds left, and the Pacers called a timeout. The result of Frank Vogel’s diagramming? That monstrosity you see above.

I don’t know whether the coach’s play design or the players on the court are to blame, but Hibbert was left holding the mess. The ball shouldn’t be in his hands at that point, but once it was, he had no choice but to hoist that ugly jumper.
