Heat coach Erik Spoelstra will probably spend all day Thursday dodging the question of if Chris Bosh will start or not because… well, I guess he wants to be like Bill Belichick. Whatever.
Pretty much all indications point to Bosh moving back into the starting lineup.
Here is what Spoelstra said on Wednesday, via the Miami Herald.“The last two games he’s been able to handle more minutes,” Spoelstra said. “I think we can start to incorporate him more to who he was and his strengths right before he got injured.
“He was so accommodating the last three or four games just trying to fit in. But we need him to be a little bit more who he is.’’
More than just starting, they need to get him some post touches as well. Bosh took 11 shots in Game 1 and only one of them was within 10 feet. During the regular season, that was more a 50/50 inside/outside ratio. Those touches closer to the basket can help get him going.
And Miami needs to get him going – it can’t be the LeBron James show in this series of the Heat expect to win four out of the next six games.
