Two-time Olympic halfpipe champion Shaun White plans to be at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo., in two weeks, according to a Twitter Q&A.
White, 28, has not competed since he finished fourth at the Sochi Olympics but said in September that not only did he plan to return, but that he’d “love to be” at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games.
He also said then that he’s more poised to compete in his second discipline, slopestyle, after pulling out before that event in Sochi.
White is in training and “could” compete at the X Games, the Associated Press reported Thursday.
A Winter X Games spokesperson said Wednesday they were still confirming his participation.
