It’s no surprise that accomplished Premier League striker Danny Ings is tearing up Premier League 2.
The ex-Burnley man, 24, notably turned down several transfer offers while at Turf Moor in order to control his own destiny.
In 2015, Ings chose Liverpool for his landing spot, but tore his ACL less than two months into his time at Anfield.

Now he’s trying to convince Jurgen Klopp that he deserves a spot on his bench despite the presence of Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge amongst Klopp’s center forward option.
Ings dropped three goals on Ipswich Town on Monday, the latest star performance in PL2. He scored two against Sunderland, one against Leicester, and another versus Southampton to give him 7 goals in 4 matches for the Reds’ U23 side.
Unfortunately for Ings, Liverpool isn’t having trouble scoring goals. The Reds have two or more goals in their last five matches, and three or more in three of those outings. Ings has seen just 27 minutes for the First Team this season, all in EFL Cup action.
Still, Ings was a lot of fun to watch when he broke through for Burnley, and surely Gareth Southgate and England would like to see if he should still be in the Three Lions’ plans. And if he keeps tearing it up for the U23s but remains unselected by Klopp, maybe we’ll see something wild: a Reserve player earning an England call-up (We kid, we kid).
