ALL-BIG 12 WR ON THE SHELF

Shoulder surgery will sideline Texas wide receiver Jordan Shipley through spring drills, the Austin American-Statesman is reporting.Shipley, who underwent the surgery this morning in Austin, is uncertain exactly when he suffered the injury other than it was at some point during the 2008 season. The injury did not force the all-conference receiver to miss any games last year."It’s an injury I aggravated a couple of times during the year, but was able to play through. I worked hard to rehab it and kept playing, but now that I have time, I got it cleaned up and can get back to full strength for next season,” Shipley said in a statement.Shipley caught a team-leading 89 passes last season for 1,006 yards.
