Ohio State and Navy will join the growing trend of schools playing college football games in NFL stadiums, the Columbus Dispatch is reporting.
By way of the Baltimore Business Journal, the Dispatch reports that the 2014 OSU-Navy game will be played at the home of the Baltimore Ravens, M&T Bank Or Whatever It’s Called By Then Stadium. It will be the season opener for both schools and played over Labor Day weekend, but an exact date has not yet been set.
The match-up was scheduled to be a home game for the Midshipmen, but the lure of a 71,000-seat stadium -- and more money -- compared to a 37,000-seat home proved too much to pass up for Navy.
The Midshipmen nearly knocked off the Buckeyes in Columbus this past season, falling 31-27 to a team that ultimately won the Rose Bowl and finished No. 5 in the country.
