Carroll looking to Chow down in Seattle?

When -- not if, it seems -- Pete Carroll takes a position with the Seattle Seahawks, it has been reported that the soon-to-be former Southern Cal head coach would take assistant coach Jeremy Bates along with him back to the NFL.

According to at least one report, Carroll may instead be looking to reach back into the past for future help in his new job.

Per the Chicago Tribune, Carroll is attempting to lure current UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow to come with him to the Great Northwest.

Chow, of course, was Carroll’s offensive coordinator from 2001 through 2004. It was during those years that USC won their two national titles under Carroll. The offensive wizard left the Trojans in the spring of 2005 for the coordinator’s job with the Tennessee Titans. He was fired following the 2007, and was soon after hired by Rick Neuheisel to run the Bruins’ offense.
