Linebacker Charlie Higgenbotham is the latest member of the Alabama football team to exit the program, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer is reporting.
The junior is transferring to Div. 1-AA South Alabama, where he will be reunited with his former high school coach Joey Jones.
Higgenbotham is the 1,347th player to leave Alabama this offseason as the school attempts to get down to the 85-scholarship mandate of the NCAA.
