Mariners acquired C Andruw Salcedo from the Reds for INF Ty France.
Salcedo is a 21-year-old catcher who has played just seven games in Class-A ball this season and has been on the development list since June 25. However, the Mariners were likely happen to get anything for France before he became a free agent.
