Ubaldo Jimenez was scratched from his scheduled minor-league rehab start last week, but now the Orioles right-hander is slated to start Tuesday at Triple-A as he comes back from an ankle injury.

Rich Dubroff of CSNBaltimore.com reports that Jimenez will throw around 65 pitches, so he’ll likely need at least 2-3 rehab starts before potentially rejoining the Orioles’ rotation. And that makes sense, because at the time of the injury--which occurred when Jimenez stepped in a hole in the parking lot--the Orioles indicated they’d be in no rush to welcome him back.

Before spraining his right ankle Jimenez went 3-8 with a 4.52 ERA and even after missing nearly a month of action he still leads the league with 60 walks in the first season of a four-year, $50 million contract.
