In NBA free agency, two years is nothing.
Kevin Durant won’t become a free agent until 2016, but teams are already positioning themselves to land the reigning MVP.
The Knicks hired his old high school coach, as did the Wizards, who signed a small forward whose contract also expires in 2016. Drake is recruiting Durant to Toronto, and yes, the rapper represents the Raptors.
Two years will pass by before you know it.
But imagine if two years represented half your life. Wouldn’t that seem like an eternity?
Not when your favorite team has a chance at Durant. Then it can’t come soon enough.

At one point, Durant clearly got frustrated with the speculation. But I have to imagine because 4-year-olds weren’t the ones bombarding him then – because how cute is that?
There’s no way Durant could get mad at an adorable little kid asking about Durant coming to the Wizards.
Children of Oklahoma City, step your game up if you want to keep Durant.
