Kyle Lowry is a veteran player, and the Toronto Raptors proved last season that they had what it takes by making it to the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
But this? This is not a good look, even given the context.
With the Raptors up on the Cleveland Cavaliers, 114-113, and with 1:39 let in the fourth quarter, Lowry fouled Kevin Love. Toronto’s star point guard didn’t like that, and with the ball in his hand he slammed it down onto the court.
Or so he thought:
The ball accidentally hit Lowry’s own foot, and it careened off into the stands. According to the NBA rule book, unintentionally hitting the ball into the stands can get you a technical foul.
The Cavaliers would use the advantage to take control of the final 100 seconds, eventually beating the Raptors, 121-117.
