Marcus Thornton probably wants this layup attempt back. Safe to say since he missed it entirely and it’s one of the best blooper reel shots I’ve seen this season thus far.

During the game between the Washington Wizards and the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, a spin move to the middle of the lane turned into an ill-advised layup attempt by the seven-year veteran.

Thornton got tangled up with a Suns defender, who stopped him from an easy transition toward the front of the rim.

The result was a granny-style, backwards layup that missed the basket entirely:

Maybe this is part of a game of H-O-R-S-E we don’t know about. In that case, Thornton definitely has an H.

The Wizards, meanwhile, lucked out with the W over Phoenix, 106-101.
