Tim Duncan logs first-ever game with no rebounds

AP

Over the course of his 19-year NBA career, Tim Duncan has played in 1,343 regular-season games and 241 playoff games. In Friday night’s loss to the Pelicans, he did something he had never done in any of those 1,584 previous games: he failed to grab a single rebound.

ESPN’s stats department pointed out the regular-season stat, but according to Basketball-Reference’s game finder, he never went rebound-less in a playoff game, either.

It speaks to Duncan’s consistency over an almost two-decade career that this stat is even possible. You would think that somewhere along the way, he would have one game with no rebounds before, but nope.
