STAMFORD, Conn. – May 2, 2019 – Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA continues extensive coverage of the World Sled Hockey Championships this week, as well as coverage of IAAF Diamond League, AVP Pro Beach Volleyball, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Sport Climbing across NBC Sports platforms. All Olympic sports coverage televised and streamed across NBC Sports platforms is presented by Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Live coverage from Ostrava, Czech Republic, continues on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA this Friday, May 3, as the U.S. takes on the Czech Republic in the semifinal round at 2 p.m. ET, followed by additional coverage of the Canada-South Korea semifinal game at 4 p.m. ET. Live coverage of the semifinal match between Canada and South Korea will be streamed live at 10:30 a.m. on OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel App.

The U.S. closed preliminary round play on Tuesday undefeated (3-0), and will be back in action at 2 p.m. ET on Friday in the semifinal round the Czech Republic, televised live on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. The U.S. sled hockey team has finished on the podium at every Paralympic and world championship tournament since winning gold at the 2002 Salt Lake Paralympics. The American roster this season includes 12 players from the gold-medal winning PyeongChang Paralympic team.

Coverage of the World Sled Hockey Championships continues on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA through Sat., May 4, culminating with live coverage of the gold medal game at 10:30 a.m. ET. NBCSN will televise the gold medal game on Saturday, May 4, at 5:30 p.m. ET. All USA games, in addition to the semifinals and medal games, will live stream on OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app.

IAAF DIAMOND LEAGUE – DOHA, QATAR

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA AND NBC SPORTS GOLD PRESENTS LIVE COVERAGE FRIDAY, MAY 3, AT 12 P.M. ET

The tenth IAAF Diamond League season begins this week in Doha, Qatar. The Diamond League consists of 12 track & field meets leading up to two finals, with 32 event disciplines evenly distributed among the meets. Athletes compete for points via their placements throughout the season, with the top points earners qualifying for the final meets. In Doha, the United States is expected to be led by reigning Olympic gold medalists Dalilah Muhammad (400m hurdles), Ryan Crouser (shot put), and Tianna Bartoletta (long jump).

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold’s “Track & Field Pass” presents live coverage of the IAAF Diamond League on Friday, May 3, at noon ET. NBCSN presents additional coverage of the Track & Field events on Friday night at 1 a.m. ET.


AVP PRO BEACH VOLLEYBALL – HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA

NBCSN PRESENTS COVERAGE SUNDAY, MAY 5, AT 11 P.M. ET

The 2019 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour kicks off this week with the Huntington Beach Open in Southern California. The tour comprises eight events across the United States, ending with the Hawaii Open in September. Top-ranked U.S. beach volleyball teams Sara Hughes/Summer Ross and Alix Klineman/April Ross are set to compete this weekend in Huntington Beach.

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS WORLD CHALLENGE CUP – GUADALAJARA, SPAIN

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA PRESENTS COVERAGE ON SUNDAY, MAY 5, AT 4 P.M. ET

The 2019 gymnastics World Challenge Cup series begins with a rhythmic competition this weekend in Guadalajara, Spain, where Rio Olympian and four-time U.S. all-around champion Laura Zeng is expected to lead the Americans.

SPORT CLIMBING WORLD CUP – WUJIANG, CHINA

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA PRESENTS COVERAGE SUNDAY, MAY 5, AT 1 P.M. ET

The 2019 sport climbing World Cup continues with bouldering and speed events in Wujiang, China, this weekend. Sport climbing will make its debut next summer in Tokyo, where the competition will feature a combination of all three disciplines; bouldering, speed, and lead. Kyra Condie, the top-ranked American in the women’s bouldering world rankings, and Ashima Shiraishi, the top-ranked U.S. lead climber, are both expected to compete in China.
