Paris Saint-Germain could be thinking of bringing in Neymar to fill the void left by the expected departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and the forward may be open to the move.

That’s the take from his agent, at least, in an interview with L’Equipe.

Neymar is contracted to Barcelona through 2018, and is a massive part of the MSN attack with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

But agent Wagner Ribeiro was quick to point out that Neymar’s contract also has a release clause of approximately $220 million dollars. That’s a lot of jersey sales.

From the BBC:

“He feels good in Barcelona. He’s loved over there and he’s playing for the best team in the world. It’s no small feat to impose yourself at such an enormous club.

“But the prospect of living in a city like Paris and to play for a club like PSG - that’s also a dream for every player.

“We’ll see in two years, when he will be at the end of his contract. A contract can also be terminated provided that the release clause is paid.

“It’s huge: 193m euros. But I don’t think that would be an insurmountable problem for PSG.”

Barcelona is coming off a loss to Real Madrid, its first in 40 matches, and also has a massive UEFA Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid starting on Tuesday but, oh, agents.

“He’s got a contract but hey, there’s a release clause if you want, PSG.”
