There could be a whole lot of change at the Westfalenstadion next season.

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke spoke with Sky Sports on the futures of stars Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, players often tipped to find new homes next season.

Watzke admits that he expects some of them leave, speaking openly about Hummels’ family desire to be in Munich, but he said the club will fight to the final moment to keep all three and said they will not allow all three to leave Dortmund.

Each has a contract that runs through 2017, and would still command a serious transfer fee.

The BVB chief also discussed someone else’s player in Bayern Munich attacker Mario Gotze. The former Dortmund star is wanted back home.

“He came up through the youth teams and he is highly regarded - also by me personally,” said Watzke. “If he came on the market and we received a signal that he was interested to come back to us, we’d discuss it.”

In other words, “Mario, please come back. Please.”
