Jurgen Klopp lost his specs celebrating Liverpool’s wild 5-4 win over Norwich City on Saturday.

And those glasses were a topic of conversation between Klopp and the media as Liverpool prepares for Tuesday’s League Cup semifinal second leg against Stoke City.

Klopp said the broken glasses were his fault and he wouldn’t make Christian Benteke pay for the first pair.

So are those new glasses already, gaffer?

“No, only the second pair. They are black and I look a little bit like a serial killer”

Up 1-0 on Stoke after a road win, Klopp says advancing wouldn’t be a big achievement because it’s just one more step toward a final. The League Cup trophy has been in Liverpool’s hands more than anyone else (8). Aston Villa and Chelsea each have five.

He also knows his club needs to be much better when it comes to defending set pieces, and that it comes down to smarts and desire.

From the BBC:

“It is not about formation, not about quality, more about what we are doing in the situations. It is not too late to learn but now it is time to show we have learnt.”

The manager also says that he was happy to see so many different scorers against Norwich, with Roberto Firmino joined by Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and James Milner.
