Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris won’t be between the sticks for Thursday’s Europa League match in Florence, and he may not be ready for the return leg either.

On top of that, Lloris is expected to miss Sunday’s FA Cup match against Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane.

Michel Vorm will start in goal for Spurs. He played in Tottenham’s Opening Day loss to Manchester United, the League Cup third round loss to Arsenal, and all three FA Cup matches so far (Spurs have 2W-1D).

From TottenhamHotspur.com:

“Bad news - in the last action against Manchester City, Hugo got a knock on his shoulder and is out for tomorrow and maybe out for Sunday,” the Head Coach told Spurs TV today (Wednesday, February 17).

“We’ll see next week if he’s available to play the second leg against Fiorentina.”

With Jan Vertonghen out, United States youth international Cameron Carter-Vickers is off to Italy with the First Team. The 18-year-old was on the bench for an earlier Europa League win over Monaco, and is considered once of the brightest defensive prospects in the U-21 Premier League.
