Luis Suarez is trying his best to control his temper.
The Barcelona forward has just returned to action after a four-month ban from FIFA following his third bite on an opposition player occurred during the 2014 World Cup this summer.

Suarez, 27, has had plenty of time to reflect on his actions and seems to be changing his mindset. At least, that’s what he’s saying.
Speaking to a news conference in Montevideo ahead of Uruguay’s friendly against Costa Rica on Thursday, they also play Chile on Nov. 18, Suarez had the following to say about controlling himself.“I’m trying to be the same on the pitch, but without making mistakes,” Suarez said. “No one’s going to take away my desire to win, to triumph, but I’m trying to be a bit more intelligent and to take a breath - not only before making those mistakes, but also before arguing, insulting, everything...”
It sounds cynical but we’ve heard this before, Luis. Following previous biting incidents in 2010 and 2013, plus an alleged racist incident with Patrice Evra, Suarez has always stated he will try to improve his behavior.
Suarez also commented on his ban for international games, as he can not play for Uruguay in the Copa America next year and World Cup qualifiers as he was banned for eight competitive matches due to his bite on Giorgio Chiellini in Brazil this summer. Suarez can play in friendlies for Uruguay, but has stated he will not appeal his eight-match international ban.
“If I talk about it, I’d probably say some silliness,” he said. “I’d rather take the eight-match sanction, just as I did with the four-month suspension.”
