This was definitely the biggest single shocker in Major League Soccer’s 2012 season, which has just rounded the quarter pole.

Expansion Montreal can feel very good about going into Livestrong Sporting Park and emerging with a 2-0 win.

The Impact becomes the first to win at Sporting Kansas City this year and the first to score two goals on Peter Vermes’ team. And how about Jesse Marsch’s team getting its very first road win at -- at Kansas City, of all places.

By the way, it was a well-rested team; the Eastern-conference leaders had not played since a 1-0 loss to Portland on April 21.

Here’s how it all unfolded Saturday outside Kansas City. (And don’t miss Filipe Martins’ 35-yard curling stunner to get this upset going.)
