STAMFORD, Conn. – June 7, 2020 – NBC Sports’ Super Bowl Week in America -- reliving seven of the most memorable NBC Super Bowls over seven days – concludes today with Super Bowl XX, featuring the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots, at 3 p.m. ET on NBC and Super Bowl III, featuring the New York Jets and Baltimore Colts, at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
In Super Bowl XX from the Louisiana Superdome, the Bears, led by head coach Mike Ditka and their vaunted defense, defeat the Patriots, 46-10, on January 26, 1986. Pro Football Hall of Famers Mike Singletary and Dan Hampton will speak with NBC Sports’ Liam McHugh throughout the broadcast.
NBC’s broadcast team of Dick Enberg, Merlin Olsen and Bob Griese called the game from the Louisiana Superdome.
Tonight at 8 p.m. ET, Super Bowl III features New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath making good on his guarantee to upset the NFL’s Baltimore Colts in what many have called the most important game in pro football history and the first NFL Championship to officially bear the name “Super Bowl.” Namath, who was named MVP of Super Bowl III, will speak with McHugh throughout tonight’s game.
NBC’s Curt Gowdy, Al DeRogatis and Kyle Rote called the game from Miami’s Orange Bowl.
McHugh will also introduce today’s matchups on NBCSN and NBC.

In Super Bowl XX from the Louisiana Superdome, the Bears, led by head coach Mike Ditka and their vaunted defense, defeat the Patriots, 46-10, on January 26, 1986. Defensive end Richard Dent is named MVP as the game reaches more than 127 million viewers, replacing the final episode of M*A*S*H* as the most-viewed television program (total reach) in history at the time.
McHugh will speak with Mike Singletary and Dan Hampton throughout the broadcast.
