Denver Broncos Host New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football Nov. 29 on NBC
NBC Presents Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Night
STAMFORD, Conn. – November 25, 2015 – This Friday’s “Together We Make Football” segment on TODAY features a profile of Denver Broncos safety Omar Bolden.
After going through a possible career ending injury, Bolden starting adopting “positive living” as his personal mantra, tagging his posts on social media with the slogan. This year, he created the Positive Living Award to recognize community standouts. The first recipient of the award is 15-year-old Daniel Dornan, who was a pillar of support for his family after his mom was diagnosed with cancer one week after his father was deployed to Afghanistan. Dornan created the organization Comfort for Kids to provide care packages to children dealing with illnesses. As a part of the award, Bolden brought Dornan to a Broncos game, complete with an on-field visit.
On Thanksgiving Night, one of football’s most storied rivalries resumes when the first-place Green Bay Packers (7-3) host the Chicago Bears (4-6) at Lambeau Field at 8 p.m. ET. Sunday Night Football, television’s No. 1 primetime show, continues this Sunday, Nov. 29, when the first-place New England Patriots (10-0, AFC East) visit the first-place Denver Broncos (8-2, AFC West). Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports.
ABOUT “TOGETHER WE MAKE FOOTBALL”
The National Football League and NBC present weekly segments on TODAY for “Together We Make Football,” an invitation to anyone inspired by the game of football – whether as a player at any level, coach or a fan – to share their story for a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl 50.
The campaign will unfold weekly throughout the NFL season with segments airing every Friday on TODAY.
The deadline for submissions ended on Nov. 2, and now a joint NFL and NBC panel will select five finalists whose stories will be turned into short features by NFL Films. The features will be unveiled weekly on TODAY beginning Friday, December 4 and the winning story will be announced live on TODAY on January 8, 2016.
This is the latest iteration of the “Together We Make Football” campaign that launched in 2013. Over the past two years, thousands of fans shared their stories of what football means to them. A select few had their stories told on TODAY and some even won trips to Super Bowl.
