Sergio Aguero headed home the only goal of the game to hand Argentina a 1-0 win over Uruguay in Group B of Copa America play on Wednesday, but the predatory forward may have injured himself in the process.

Aguero, 26, scored a sublime diving header as fellow Manchester City teammate Pablo Zabaleta whipped in a cross from the right but he was substituted soon after in clear discomfort. Aguero has suffered an injury to his left shoulder and is currently undergoing tests to see how severe the damage is.
Top scorer in the 2014-15 Premier League season with 26 goals, the Man City forward is now a huge doubt for Argentina’s final group game against Jamaica on Saturday.
The Argentine FA said on Wednesday that Aguero “suffered a blow to his left shoulder. He will undergo tests as a precaution.”
Manuel Pellegrini had to do without Aguero for large chunks of City’s 2014-15 season and the Citizens will be sweating on news from Chile as their star man is crucial to their success in 2015-16 and beyond.
As for Argentina, they now have four points from their opening two group games and a point against Jamaica would all but secure their spot in the quarterfinals.
Aguero has scored two of La Albiceleste’s three goals at the Copa America so far and if the injury forces him to miss the rest of the tournament, it would be a huge blow for Gerardo Martino’s side as they are favorites to win the competition alongside bitter rivals Brazil.
