The game in 100 words (or less): The New England Revolution have a problem — a goal-conceding problem, to be specific. Sure, they can outscore just about anyone on a given day, but that remains an ill-advised strategy over the course of a 34-game season. When the Revs acquired Kei Kamara back in mid-May, I opined that fixing their porous defense — not adding more offensive firepower — needed to be priority no. 1 for Jay Heaps’ side if they are to make any noise before or during the playoffs. Fast forward a month and a half, and the Revs are still a disaster defensively, most recently exemplified in Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Montreal Impact, a game in which they held a 2-0 lead after 33 minutes, only to concede three times in 14 minutes and drop all three points. A win would have sent the Revs fourth in the Eastern Conference. Instead, they remain eighth, five points back of the now-second-place Impact.

Three Four Five moments that mattered
18' — Rowe slots the through ball, Kamara hammers it home — Montreal’s defense might want to consider stepping to Kelyn Rowe and forcing him to get rid of the ball a bit earlier, because this was way too easy for the Revs.
.@keikamara scores his first MLS goal for the #NERevs to take a 1-0 lead in Montreal. #MTLvNE https://t.co/umdKDeNYVI

33' — Kamara heads home a corner for 2-0 — Inversely, there’s not much you can do when Kamara takes flight and arrives first to balls in the air.
40' — Loose ball in the box, Salazar heads home — It definitely wasn’t pretty, but rookie Michael Salazar has his first professional goal after heading a loose ball over the goal line not long before halftime.

48' — Salazar gets all alone to tie it up — APB: New England Revolution defense. Last seen: not sure when.
Dueling braces. @michaelworld_10 scores his second of the game to tie it up. #MTLvNE https://t.co/495Gu2IJYr

54' — Piatti converts from the spot to take the lead — Brad Knighton chopped Ignacio Piatti to the ground, and the Argentine was awarded a penalty kick which he duly dispatched.
And just like that, @impactmontreal are in front. Piatti tucks it home from the spot and Montreal lead 3-2. https://t.co/OkJhqedQHu
