Sam Allardyce is taking over the Premier League’s 14th place team after a Wayne Rooney hat trick led Everton to a 4-0 win over West Ham United at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
Rooney’s third goal pretty well came from inside his own half, a bullet. Ashley Williams added a fourth late in the match.
West Ham remains in 18th place with 10 points.

Joe Hart chopped down Dominic Calvert-Lewin to give Wayne Rooney a chance from the spot, and Hart denied Rooney’s first effort only to see the former English captain head home the rebound.
Everton made it 2-0 when a ball started by Jonjoe Kenny and crossed by Tom Davies navigated its way through the 18, and Rooney hit a low ball inside the near post.
Ashley Williams’ disappointing season continues when he took down Diafra Sakho in the box to give the Irons second half life. But Jordan Pickford chose correctly and saved Manuel Lanzini’s attempt.
