Norwegian club Rosenborg has confirmed that they have not been able to sign Mix Diskerud to a new contract and the USMNT midfielder will play elsewhere next season.
Diskerud turned 24 in October and has been capped 25 times for the United States, scoring five goals and featuring regularly since the World Cup. He was on the roster for Brazil but did not appear in a match at the tournament.

At Rosenborg, he played in 78 games and scored 9 goals. Those figures include 12 appearances in European competition and a trio of goals.
Diskerud is wanted in MLS and in several countries across Europe. He has been linked to the Columbus Crew among other MLS sides in the past, but moves broke down with rumors of problems with Diskerud’s agent and father.
More recently, he’s refuted links with a deal at Liga MX side Club Tijuana, saying that if he signed in North America it would be in the United States.
