WATCH: Zlatan scores his first Premier League goal against Bournemouth

Zlatan Ibrahimovic pushes Man United's lead to three against Bournemouth after an incredibly precise strike.

It wouldn’t be a complete Manchester United performance without a goal from the indomitable Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and that’s exactly what we got on his Premier League debut.

With the Red Devils already up 2-0 thanks to a pair of defensive errors by Bournemouth, Ibrahimovic slotted home a clinical effort, in stark contract to the flashy goals he’s used to scoring.

RECAP: United downs Bournemouth 3-1 to open season

While it wasn’t nearly as gaudy as a typical Zlatan goal, it was still impressive given the distance the striker is from the net, with the shot coming from well outside the penalty area, and still finding its mark in the lower left-hand corner of the net.

The goal means Zlatan has scored on debut in every major league and competition he’s played in. He scored in his Serie A debut for Juventus against Brescia in 2004. He scored in his La Liga debut for Barcelona against Sporting Gijon in 2009, the first of five straight games he’d score in to open that season. He scored a brace in his Ligue 1 debut for PSG in 2012. Now, he’s bagged a debut goal in Premier League play. The only league he did not score on debut was his Eredivisie debut with Ajax in 2001, and he made sure to make amends by scoring in his second and third appearances the following weeks, and he bagged a brace against Lyon in his Champions League debut the next season. He even scored in his Europa League debut against Cypriot side Apollon Limassol in 2001.
