He has been scarcely used under Jurgen Klopp, and the two had a heated exchange on the touchline after Liverpool’s 3-2 loss to Southampton over the weekend.
With all signs pointing to Benteke’s departure from Liverpool this summer, West Ham could be a potential landing spot.
As the Hammers challenge for a place in the Champions League ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium next season, Sky Sports is reporting that Benteke is one of the club’s top targets.

Benteke had a great scoring record at Aston Villa, bagging 11 goals in the club’s final 11 matches of the 2014-15 season to help keep the Villans up. Still just 25-years-old, Slaven Bilic is hoping he could recreate that form at West Ham.
The report also states that West Ham is monitoring Michy Batshuayi, another Belgian striker currently playing in France. The 22-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in Europe, but the Hammers are hopeful that Dimitri Payet’s success at Upton Park could help convince the striker on a move to East London, as the two were teammates at Marseille.
