Nolan Gorman went 0-for-4 for Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday, putting him at .205/.256/.410 through 10 games with the club.
The Cardinals were open to a quick recall for Gorman if he started out hot in Triple-A, but it hasn’t happened. It looks like he might be a non-factor for the rest of the season.

Carson Kelly (wrist) is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Padres.
Kelly is back behind the dish after missing a pair of games following an early exit from Sunday’s showdown against the Dodgers with a wrist contusion. It doesn’t appear to be a serious concern moving forward.
  • CHC Left Fielder #27
Seiya Suzuki (wrist) is in the lineup at DH for Wednesday’s contest against the Padres.
Suzuki returns to Chicago’s lineup for Wednesday’s series finale in San Diego following a three-game absence due to right wrist discomfort. It’s a lingering issue that could continue to impact his availability, but it’s an encouraging development that he’s managed to avoid a trip to the injured list.
  • TB 1st Baseman #62
Jonathan Aranda, Brandon Lowe and Kameron Misner are not in the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox.
Rays manager Kevin Cash has opted to stack his lineup with right-handed bats against Red Sox lefty Sean Newcomb. It’s probably time for Aranda to get some opportunities against non-elite southpaws since he’s hitting .413 (19-for-46) with three homers through 15 contests, but he’ll continue taking a seat against lefties for now.
  • MIA Left Fielder #54
Dane Myers remains out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Diamondbacks.
Myers hasn’t played since last Wednesday, but it appears likely he’ll return for Thursday’s series finale against Arizona.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #81
Luis Gil (lat) will not be cleared to resume throwing for another 10 days.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Gil’s recovery from a high-grade lat strain is progressing as expected based on his latest MRI, and this isn’t a setback. However, the reigning AL Rookie of the Year won’t be medically cleared until later next week. It’s not a significant delay as Gil won’t be back until late May or early June, even in a best-case scenario. It’s looking more like some point in June following this latest update.
  • CLE Center Fielder #8
Lane Thomas (wrist) is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Orioles.
Thomas is back in center field and hitting fifth on Wednesday night following a six-game absence due to a right wrist contusion.
  • MIL Right Fielder #10
Sal Frelick went 2-for-4 and hit his first homer Wednesday in the Brewers’ 5-1 defeat of the Tigers.
Frelick’s homer off Keider Montero was hit 408 feet, matching his career long fly. His previous highs this year were 352 and then 317 feet. It was his sixth homer and eighth barrel in 823 plate appearances since he debuted in 2023. So, yeah, don’t expect a lot more of those. Frelick is, however, off to a really nice start with his .318/.408/.455 line, and while he won’t maintain that, he could remain useful in mixed leagues while batting fifth regularly and making a run at 25 or 30 steals.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #62
Jose Quintana pitched 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball to defeat the Tigers on Wednesday.
Quintana has quickly turned into a lifesaver for the Brewers, winning his first two starts with a 0.71 ERA. The lone damage today came on a Spencer Torkelson homer. Quintana will take his next turn in San Francisco against the Giants.
  • PIT Catcher #14
Joey Bart (back) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Nationals.
Bart will miss his fifth straight contest on Wednesday night due to an ongoing back issue. It’ll be Henry Davis handling the catching duties again in his absence.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #29
Trevor Megill returned to the mound Wednesday and pitched a scoreless ninth to finish off a 5-1 win over the Tigers.
It looked like Megill might require a stint on the IL because of a knee issue, but he was available Tuesday after just a two-game absence. He needed only seven pitches to finish off the Tigers today.
