Report: Baron Davis signs in D-League

497794248

arrives at premiere for Columbia Pictures’ “The Night Before” at The Theatre at The Ace Hotel on November 18, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

Joshua Blanchard

Baron Davis last played in the NBA in 2012, when – at age 33 – he tore his ACL and MCL while with the Knicks.

Since, he has repeatedly discussed coming back.

Apparently, he’s returning – at least to professional basketball.

Chris Reichert of Upside & Motor:

Davis, 36, is still a long way from the NBA. But at least he made it this far. Frankly, I’m impressed he overcame such a serious injury at his age to play professionally again. Even if he makes it no further, he should be proud of reaching this point.

And at least a D-League team – to be determined by the waiver wire – will get a former NBA star to market.
