  • COL Relief Pitcher
Rockies optioned LHP Evan Justice to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Withe Daniel Bard (forearm) returning to the Rockies’ bullpen on Monday, someone needed to get the boot, and Justice drew the short straw this time around. The 25-year-old hurler registered an 8.59 ERA, 3.00 WHIP and a 7/8 K/BB ratio over his 7 1/3 innings of work in nine appearances at the big league level.
  • OAK Right Fielder #33
JJ Bleday went 2-for-4 with a double against the Twins on Sunday.
It was a quiet afternoon for the Athletics offense as they managed only two runs in the loss to the Twins. Bleday had two hits, though, and is now 7-for-18 (.388) over his last five games. The third-year outfielder is currently enjoying his best season with a .773 OPS.
  • MIN Third Baseman #23
Royce Lewis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk against the Athletics on Sunday.
Lewis continues to mash the ball since returning from the injured list. He’s now hit six home runs in 42 plate appearances this season. It’s a tiny sample size, but he’s hitting .395 with a .526 ISO on the year.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with two home runs, two runs scored, and 3 RBI against the Athletics on Sunday.
Correa continues his hot streak at the dish. The two home runs give him eight total on the season and his average is up to .306 with an .879 OPS. He’s been as good as a player can be in fantasy without stealing bases.
  • OAK Starting Pitcher #38
JP Sears allowed four runs in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Twins on Sunday.
Sears gave up nine hits, walked four and struck out one. Three of the hits allowed were home runs. Despite a 16 percent strikeout percentage, Sears has been somewhat usable in fantasy at home as he has a 3.31 ERA in six home starts. Otherwise, he’s off the fantasy radar. The 28-year-old left-hander is set to face the Twins at home next week.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #17
Bailey Ober allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Sunday.
Ober gave up six hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his sixth of the year. The lone run off of Ober came on a Daz Cameron home run in the seventh inning. Home runs have been a problem for him this season. Ober has allowed 1.48 HR/9, which has been a contributing factor as to why his ERA is 4.81 despite a 4.04 xFIP. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Athletics on the road next week.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #39
Corbin Burnes allowed two earned runs in six innings in an 8-3 win over Phillies on Sunday. He struck out seven, walked two, and scattered seven hits.
Burnes was incredibly solid again in this one. Not dominant, but spotted a huge lead early and managed to coast behind his stellar cutter and curveball. The victory was his eighth of the season with a sparkling 2.14 ERA.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #78
Yennier Cano got one out on four pitches Sunday to grab the save. He struck out the only batter he faced.
Things got hairy in the ninth inning for Baltimore as a walk and two errors loaded the bases and forced Brandon Hyde to go to Cano with the tying run on deck. He struck out Edmundo Sosa to end the game and earned his third save of the season working in mostly a set-up role while Craig Kimbrel still soaks up the majority of saves.
  • BAL Third Baseman #11
Jordan Westburg went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday.
One of the stories of the season, Westburg has been a revelation for Baltimore. The homer was his 11th on the season with 42 runs batted in and a .278 average while playing both second and third base. He’s become a very good player very quickly.
  • PHI Third Baseman #28
Alec Bohm went 3-for-4 with a double, walk, and two runs batted in on Sunday against the Orioles.
April Bohm is back. He had eight hits and five RBI this weekend in Baltimore without striking out as he continues in what’s been a true breakout season for the third basemen. His 57 RBI are second most in the National League, behind only Marcell Ozuna.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #45
Zack Wheeler allowed eight earned runs in 4 1/3 innings on Sunday in a loss to the Orioles. He struck out four and walked two.
This was Wheeler’s worst start as a Phillie and the first time he’s allowed eight earned runs since 2018. Baltimore jumped on him with homers in each of the first three innings and then Jordan Westburg put the cherry on top with his three-run blast. Even the best pitchers in baseball have a day like this and it’s less surprising when it comes against one of the best lineups in baseball.
