I don’t need to remind you that Ray Allen makes big plays for the Heat in big games.

But he will not be taking part in Wednesday’s big showdown with Indiana.

This isn’t the team covering for something with the stomach virus excuse either – there may be no player in the league more meticulous in taking care of his body, of watching his diet, than Ray Allen.

Announcement: Pro Basketball Talk’s partner FanDuel is hosting a one-day $100,000 Fantasy Basketball league for Wednesday night’s games. It’s $25 to join and first prize is $15,000. Starts at 7pm ET on Wednesday. Here’s the FanDuel link.

Dwyane Wade will start at the two for the Heat, Allen would have come off the bench (he averages 11.9 points a game). Expect Toney Douglas to get the bulk of Allen’s minutes.
