AMERICA’S FUTURE FOOTBALL STARS FEATURED DURING 13th ANNUAL U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL THIS SATURDAY ON NBC AT 1 P.M. ET

Coverage Begins Tomorrow on NBCSN with Skills Challenge at 6:30 p.m. ET

Live On-Site Pre-Game Show on NBCSN at 12:30 p.m. ET

Stamford, Conn. – January 2, 2014 – NBC will air the 13th annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the nation’s premier high school football all-star game, this Saturday at 1 p.m. ET live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. U.S. Army All-American game alumni include numerous NFL stars including Colts QB Andrew Luck, Lions DT Ndamukong Suh, Ravens DT Haloti Ngata and Vikings RB Adrian Peterson.

Coverage begins tomorrow, Friday, January 3, at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN with a look at the skills challenge including: the quarterback challenge, obstacle relay, touchdown toss, big man challenge and tug-of-war. One of the nation’s top quarterbacks, Kyle Allen (Scottsdale, Ariz.: Desert Mountain High School), running back Joe Mixon (Oakley, Calif.: Freedom High School), and top outside linebacker Dante Booker (Akron, Ohio: St. Mary High School), all showcased their skills in multiple events.

Coverage on Saturday kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN with a live, on-site pre-game show, followed by live game coverage at 1 p.m. ET on NBC.

Paul Burmeister will call the action and hosts the pre-game show with former NFL defensive lineman and analyst Anthony Herron and reporter Lewis Johnson. In addition, the high school player scout and insider Barton Simmons and NBCSN’s NFL and Ivy League football analyst Ross Tucker will contribute to NBC and NBCSN’s coverage of the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The game’s most anticipated moments occur when the nation’s top high school football players reveal their college selections live on-air during the event. Mixon will make his declaration in addition to the No. 2-ranked defensive tackle Matt Elam (Elizabethtown, Ky.: John Hardin High School) and the No. 2-ranked tight end Bryce Dixon (Ventura, Calif.: St. Bonaventure High School). In all, 11 of the top players in the nation will declare their college intentions live on Saturday.

NBC will also mic the game’s top quarterbacks and will interview players from the sidelines while analyzing their highlights. Additional players to watch during the game include Allen Solomon Thomas (Coppell, Texas: Coppell High School), Elijah Hood (Charlotte, N.C: Charlotte Catholic High School) and Sony Michel (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.: American Heritage High School). A total of 45 players are ranked in 247Sports�� top 100.
