After starting the season on pace to become the lowest scoring team in Premier League history, Aston Villa became revitalized under manager Tim Sherwood and were able to avoid relegation.
The major reason for Villa’s safety was Christian Benteke, who scored 12 goals in his last 12 matches after struggling with form and injuries in the beginning of the campaign.

Despite an overall disappointing season for the Villans, the club does have a chance at FA Cup glory when they face off against Arsenal this Saturday in the final at Wembley.

It’s going to be a tall order for Benteke to lead Villa over Arsenal, as it takes a team effort to break down the solidarity of Arsene Wenger’s side. Considering Benteke scored over 40 percent of Villa’s goals this season, he will need support from his teammates in the final.

Fabian Delph has been in great form all season for the Villans, while Jack Grealish and Tom Cleverly have stepped up their game in the final matches of the Premier League season.
Aston Villa is playing in its 11th FA Cup final, with the last trophy being lifted way back in 1957. Arsenal is looking to repeat after defeating Hull City in the final last year.
