Last season for Liverpool, Luis Suarez scored 31 goals in 33 league appearances.
Through 31 matches this season, the Reds have only scored 45 goals total.

Suarez’s dominance helped Liverpool challenge for a title last season and now without him, Brendan Rodgers has already counted them out of the race for a top-four finish.
Rodgers admitted he is still trying to find a solution for Liverpool’s goalscoring woes, which would be worrying to a fan considering there are only seven matches to play in the league.We are still trying to find solutions at the top end of the field.
When everyone is fit and available we are able to compete with this squad, but our top goalscorer is on six goals. Three players on six goals. That’s the reality of where we are at, and we have to find solutions for that.
It’s about finding what suits the players. We have obviously got a number of players out now and when we changed the system it suited them. We are always looking to find a way.”
No one expected Liverpool to score 101 goals like they did last season, but the drop off in offensive production has been staggering. Selling their top scorer in Suarez and having Daniel Sturridge miss a good portion of the season to injury clearly didn’t help, but Brendan Rodgers has failed to find alternative options.

The signings of Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli have been massive flops for Liverpool, as they have scored just three league goals between the two.
Rumors and reports have tied Burnley’s Danny Ings for a move to Anfield over the summer, but Rodgers can’t wait until then to try and find his solution. Liverpool currently sit fifth on the table, but are tied in points with Tottenham and just a point ahead of Southampton.
Should Liverpool finish outside the top five, which there is a good possibility of happening, Brendan Rodgers will have a few more questions to answer than “Where did the goals go?”
