The game in 100 words (or less): Los Angeles relied on some old faces and a new one today as the Galaxy defeated the Seattle Sounders 3-1 at the StubHub Center. After falling behind in the opening minute, Los Angeles responded with three unanswered goals from Gyasi Zardes, Robbie Keane, and Giovani dos Santos. It was dos Santos’ first game in Major League Soccer and his second for the Galaxy, and he’s scored in both of them. Seattle was shorthanded, playing without Obafemi Martins and Clint Dempsey, but still occupy the final playoff spot in the West.

Three moments that mattered

1' -- Barrett scores immediately, hurts hamstring celebrating -- The Sounders got off to a dream start when Chad Barrett buried a perfect cross from Erik Friberg to give Seattle a lead less than a minute into the match. However, the celebration was short-lived for Barrett, who appeared to strain his hamstring while celebrating his goal. The striker was immediately subbed off, finishing the game with one touch, one goal, and one minute played.

13' -- Zardes equalizes for LA minutes later -- Seattle failed to clear a corner kick, and Gyasi Zardes made them pay to draw the Galaxy level. Following a Los Angeles corner, Juninho crossed in the second ball to the back post, where Zardes had peeled away from his defender and found the back of the net with a delicate finish from the outside of his foot.

64' -- Dos Santos scores in his MLS debut -- Giovani dos Santos had already scored in his first match for the Galaxy, a win in the CONCACAF Champions League against Central FC. Today, he scored in his MLS debut, making it two goals in two matches for the Mexican international. Dos Santos took a ball through from Robbie Keane and made no mistake with the finish, as a sell-out crowd at the StubHub Center erupted in delight.

Man of the match: Giovani dos Santos -- After assisting on Robbie Keane’s goal, dos Santos grabbed his own to finish off his Major League Soccer debut in style. If the Galaxy attack wasn’t scary enough, dos Santos makes it that much more dangerous.
