In May of 2011, and after coming in as an early enrollee, Mike Blakely decided to transfer from Florida and ultimately landed at Auburn.
Less than two years later, the running back is reportedly on the move again.
According to AuburnSports.com, and confirmed by an AU spokesperson, Blakely is no longer enrolled at Auburn and will transfer to another football program. The website reports that USF could be a potential transfer destination; after leaving Florida, the Bulls were one of the schools that were rumored to be of interest to the back.
Blakely sat out the 2011 season after his appeal to the NCAA for a waiver that would’ve allowed him to play immediately was denied. As a redshirt freshman in 2012, Blakely was third on the team in rushing with 153 yards.
Rivals.com had Blakely rated as the No. 6 RB in the country for the 2011 recruiting class.
