Najee Harris rushed 12 times for 37 yards in the Steeler’s Wild Card Round loss to the Bills, adding two catches for 15 receiving yards.
Najee Harris had a tremendous end to the season, rushing for 312 yards and four touchdowns over his last three games. However, even with that, he finished with 255 rushes for 1,035 rushing yards (4.1 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns on the season. However, when you watch Harris play, it’s clear that he lacks the explosion that teammate Jaylen Warren brings and seems to have trouble consistently finding running lanes. It’s unlikely that Harris will lose any playing time next season, but it’s also clear that Pittsburgh will continue to rotate both Harris and Warren in 2024, which will make it tougher to rely on either of them as more than RB2 types in fantasy football.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #14

DK Metcalf (knee) did not practice Thursday.
The Seahawks remain hopeful that Metcalf can play in Week 9 after missing Week 8’s loss to the Bills, but back-to-back missed practices likely limits that optimism at least slightly. If he gets in at least a limited session Friday he has a chance, but fantasy managers should be preparing to be without Metcalf against the Rams on Sunday.
  • NYJ Linebacker #57
Jets declared LB CJ Mosley (neck), G Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle), S Ashtyn Davis (Concussion), S Tony Adams (Hamstring), CB Qwan’tez Stiggers, RB Israel Abanikanda and T Carter Warren inactive for Week 9 against the Texans.
The Jets are dealing with a plethora of injury issues, and also placed Allen Lazard and Leki Fotu on injured reserve earlier Thursday. With Mosley out, Chazz Surratt should see the bulk of snaps at his linebacker position with Surratt playing through a heel injury.
  • HOU Running Back #31
Texans declared RB Dameon Pierce, LB Azeez Al-Shaair, S Jimmie Ward, CB Myles Bryant and C/G Jarrett Patterson inactive for Week 9 against the Jets.
Pierce was ruled out earlier in the week because of his groin injury. The Texans will also be missing Ward due to a groin issue, Patterson with a concussion and Al-Shaair out due to a shoulder injury.
  • LV Running Back #3
Zamir White (quad) didn’t practice Thursday.
White was a limited participant during Wednesday’s session, and the 6-foot, 215-pound tailback was unable to go Thursday. This could be load management, but it’s not being listed as such. White’s absence would set up potentially more touches for Ameer Abdullah or Dylan Laube.
  • LAC Linebacker #97
Joey Bosa (hip) was listed as a “limited” participant for Thursday’s practice.
Bosa was able to return in Week 8 against the Saints and played 20-of-73 snaps. The 2016 second-round pick should play against in Week 9 against Cleveland, but may not get a full snap count again.
  • LAC Tight End #88
Hayden Hurst (groin) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Hurst looks like he’ll be able to play in Week 9 against the Browns after missing the previous two weeks with his groin issue. Will Dissly (shoulder) may miss Sunday’s tilt against Cleveland, so assuming Hurst does go, he’s worth a look as a streamer for that contest.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Jerry Jeudy was listed as a “limited” participant for Thursday’s practice.
Jeudy was a full participant during Wednesday’s practice, so it’s possible the injury occurred during that session or Thursday’s. Either way, it’s something to keep an eye on. Jeudy caught five passes on eight targets for a season-high 79 yards, and will see a good amount of balls thrown his way if he can go Week 9 against the Chargers. Friday will be one to keep an eye on.
  • LAC Tight End #81
Will Dissly (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
Dissly was unable to practice during Wednesday’s session, so at least this is an upgrade in that sense. The 28-year-old has been a productive receiver over the past few weeks, but he’s likely a game-time decision for Week 9’s tilt against the Browns.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #15
Ladd McConkey (hip) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
Nothing to see here. McConkey was limited by a hip issue during Wednesday’s practice, but all signs point to the impressive rookie being a strong option for Week 9 against the Cleveland secondary.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #1
Quentin Johnston (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
It’s an upgrade from the limited session that Johnston received during Wednesday’s session. The 23-year-old missed the last two games with his ankle injury, but has a good chance of returning Week 9 against the Browns.
