The Expos need to make a callup for Saturday’s start, and the most likely candidate at Triple-A Edmonton is Sun-Woo Kim.
Kim made an emergency start earlier this season.

When asked if he will give rookie Sun Woo Kim another start, manager Frank Robinson shot back, ''Do I look insane?’'
Kim was taken out of a 2-2 game after only 3 1/3 innings, but Robinson said Kim’s performance wasn’t even worthy of a rookie league game. When asked if Kim would be returned to the minors, Robinson said: ''For all I care, he can go home.’' Great job of boosting the kid’s confidence and/or trade value, Mr. Robinson.

Manager Frank Robinson said that Sun Woo Kim will go to the bullpen, but doesn’t seem to have a long-term future with the Expos.
Well, that was already assumed, since Kim was being used as trade bait for Juan Gonzalez and other deals, but given Robinson’s negative spin on the situation, good luck finding takers now: ''The minimum requirement for a major leaguer is the ability to get the ball over the plate and he didn’t do that last night.’' Last night? One bad game by a rookie and that’s it? Tough crowd.

Rockies claimed RHP Sun Woo Kim off waivers from the Nationals.
Jim Bowden obviously isn’t concerned about having any starting pitching depth around. With Claudio Vargas, Tomo Ohka, Zach Day and now Kim all gone, converted reliever Matt White might be the club’s sixth starter. He’s the only member of Triple-A New Orleans’ rotation with an ERA under 5.50. Kim will likely pitch in middle relief for the Rockies.

Sun Woo Kim will start for the Rockies in a doubleheader on Monday.
Byung-Hyun Kim will start the other game, which will be the first time two Koreans have started a doubleheader for the same team. We’re also guessing it’s the first time two guys named Kim will be starting a doubleheader for the same team as well. Dan Miceli may be headed for the DL, which would clear a roster spot for Sun Woo Kim.

Sun Woo Kim allowed two runs and five hits in four innings against the Marlins today in his Rockies debut.
A positive debut for the right-hander, who was claimed off waivers from the Nationals next week. He’ll likely be used in middle relief from now on.

The blister on the index finger of Sunny Kim’s pitching hand was much better yesterday.
He pitched four solid innings in his Rockies debut Monday and will likely be added to Colorado’s bullpen this week.

Sunny Kim is pitching well enough that he may end up in the rotation soon for the Rockies.
With Jose Acevedo, Byung-Hyun Kim, and Jamey Wright all struggling as of late, and Zach Day and Jason Young getting rocked in the minors, manager Cint Hurdle will discuss moving one of his starters out of the rotation in favor of Kim. Kim has allowed three runs on seven hits and only one walk during one start and two relief appearances in 8 2/3 innings.

Sun-Woo Kim has accepted his assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs after clearing waivers earlier this week.
Kim figures to rejoin the Rockies later this season.

Expos optioned RHP Sun Woo Kim to Triple-A Edmonton.
Manager Frank Robinson wanted this move to happen over a week ago, but GM Omar Minaya needed to wait until a couple of more players could be sent down. It saves on travel costs.
