The U.S. women’s gymnastics team for the World Championships from Oct. 17-25 will be decided at a selection competition this Wednesday and Thursday in Crossville, Tennessee, airing live on USA Gymnastics’ pay-per-view streaming site FlipNow.tv.

How is the World Championships team selected?
The top two women in the all-around combining scores from the Xfinity U.S. Championships in August (40%) and from day one of the selection competition (60%) automatically make the team. U.S. Championships results are here.
A committee picks the last three members, plus alternates.
Gymnasts vying for spots include two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey, two-time U.S. all-around champion Hezly Rivera and 2024 U.S. all-around runner-up Skye Blakely.
Texas training partners Rivera and Claire Pease take an advantage into this week after going one-two in the U.S. Championships all-around.
Carey, competing on the elite level this year for the first time since the Paris Olympics, could add value to the team on floor exercise and vault. So can Reese Esponda, the U.S. floor champion bidding for her first world team.
Blakely has made World Championships finals on balance beam and uneven bars. Charleigh Bullock, a 16-year-old newcomer, is also strong on those two events.
Dulcy Caylor won the all-around at the 2025 selection competition to make her first world team.
Worlds in Rotterdam, Netherlands, will include the first global championship team competition since the Paris Olympics.
