The U.S. Classic, the top tune-up meet for the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships, airs live on NBCSN and Peacock on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. ET in Hartford, Connecticut.
NBC airs highlights Sunday from 4-6 p.m. ET.
The U.S. Classic features two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey, who this summer is returning to elite competition for the first time since the Paris Games.
Carey, 26, did compete collegiately for Oregon State in 2025, then served as a student assistant coach in Corvallis this past season, joining her dad, Brian, who was already an assistant on the staff.
Carey and other gymnasts are preparing for the Xfinity U.S. Championships from Aug. 6-9 in Phoenix, which is Carey’s hometown.
The Classic field also includes Leanne Wong, an alternate for the last two Olympic teams who won all-around silver at the 2025 World Championships.
Plus Skye Blakely, who competed on world championship-winning teams in 2022 and 2023.
The sentimental story is Katelyn Ohashi, who returned to elite competition this season for the first time since 2013 (when she won the American Cup over Simone Biles). Ohashi, now 29, dealt with major injuries in her teens, then finished her college career at UCLA in 2019.
