Erling Haaland scored two more goals and Manchester City kept their perfect start to the Premier League season alive on Saturday, barely, with a 3-2 victory over newly promoted Ipswich Town.

Below is the latest Enzo Maresca reaction, speaking after his side made it seven wins from seven games — a feat that Pep Guardiola never achieved at Man City — and Phil Foden scored his first goal in more than 10 months. On a slightly more sour note, Haaland limped off and quickly exited the pitch at full-time.

Enzo Maresca reaction: What did Man City boss say after 3-2 win vs Ipswich?

“Very happy, especially for the general situation. Very happy for today’s game. We controlled the game for 95 minutes, we created chances, we scored, but at the end we finished suffering a little bit all together. It’s good.”

On Haaland’s apparent injury: “First of all, hopefully they are good. But it’s normal, they are big players for us. [If the two best players are injured], it’s difficult for everyone. We’ll see what’s happened and then we try to find a solution.”

On Foden’s goal: “Happy for Phil. Very happy for Phil. I said since day one that he is a very important player for us. He is a top player, he just needs to be positive and confident, and for sure he is going to help the team.”

On 19-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi making his first start: “Not bad, eh? Very good, very good. I think he was good on the ball, good off the ball. Again, he is very young and needs to improve things, but he is on the right path.”

On Ipswich making it close and difficult late: “We finished a little bit suffering, but it’s normal. It is the Premier League.”
