La Liga winners — Who has won the most titles plus every club to win Spain’s top division

There are leagues with dynasties and then there are leagues with dynasties, and Spain’s top division has been the latter.

Repeat champions have been the norm since the third season of the league, when Athletic Bilbao became the first to claim back-to-back division titles (Athletic have done so twice).

Real Madrid have twice won five consecutive titles — back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back — while Barcelona once won four-straight and both Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid have also been repeat winners.

Who has won the most La Liga titles?

Real Madrid have won the most titles with 36, nine more than historic rivals Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid rank third with 11 crowns, with Athletic Bilbao next with eight and Valencia following with six.

Real Sociedad have two, while Deportivo La Coruna, Sevilla, and Real Betis have each won once.
