Hip-hop meets WWE in A-Town this Labor Day weekend for the first-ever Sunday Night’s Main Event, streaming live on September 6 at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock.
While Atlanta native Quavo will be featured on the mic, Lil Yachty has the unenviable task of stepping into the ring for the very first time in front of his hometown crowd against United States Champion Baron Corbin. If Yachty can somehow last five minutes against Corbin, then his friend Trick Williams will be granted a United States Championship rematch that very night.
In the marquee matchup, friends turned heated rivals will collide, as Cody Rhodes has promised to be the one to once and for all vanquish the man who made his name as “The Legend Killer,” Randy Orton. In other action, weeks of tension will come to a head as Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and recent main roster call-up Tatum Paxley will face Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab in a six-woman tag team match.
But the most intriguing bout of them all is the first-ever one-on-one clash between young powerhouses Oba Femi and Bron Breakker. Oba may have been the one to end Brock Lesnar’s legendary career at SummerSlam last month, but the hard-charging Breakker is determined to be recognized as the future of WWE. Fasten your seatbelts, folks! This one has Brady-Manning written all over it.

WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event predictions
Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton
For this feud to culminate properly, Randy Orton has to win. The real question is whether Cody Rhodes will finally turn to the dark side. Could his use of Paul Heyman’s famous “That’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler” line two weeks ago really just have been a coincidence? Maybe Orton pushes “The Golden Boy” past his breaking point in front of his friends and family? And maybe Rhodes delivers some long overdue payback via steel chair, resulting in a loss by disqualification?
PREDICTION: Randy Orton defeats Cody Rhodes.
Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker
In what is hopefully the first of many epic encounters, I fully expect the manipulative Paul Heyman to betray Bron Breakker and cost him the match. I also can’t picture Oba Femi suffering a defeat just one month after bringing an end to Brock Lesnar’s Hall of Fame career.
PREDICTION: Oba Femi defeats Bron Breakker.
United States Champion Baron Corbin vs. Lil Yachty (with Trick Williams) – Singles match with a 5-minute time limit
Is there really any mystery here? A determined Lil Yachty will feed off the hometown Atlanta crowd and hold his own against Baron Corbin for five minutes, setting the stage for Trick Williams and his Lemon Pepper Steppers to regain the United States Championship.
PREDICTION: Lil Yachty lasts five minutes against Baron Corbin, then Trick Williams defeats Corbin to regain the United States Championship.
Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley vs. Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab – Six-Woman Tag Team Match
I would argue that nobody on the entire WWE roster needs a big win as badly as Jade Cargill does. In what was the toughest match for me to call, I’ll give the edge to Cargill and Co. Sunday.
PREDICTION: Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab defeat Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley.
