One day after firing head coach Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins made another major move in adding Sullivan as the general manager. The Packers’ VP of player personnel since 2022, Sullivan joined Green Bay as an intern in 2003 and worked his way up through various positions, which include a scouting background. Sullivan has stated in interviews how important it is to build through the draft, an approach that likely makes the most sense for this Dolphins rebuild. He is the son of Jerry Sullivan, who spent 25 years as an NFL coach, mostly coaching wide receivers.
  • LA Wide Receiver #17
Adams looks likely to be full-go from the jump after three full sessions of practice this week. He probably could have played at any point after the Rams’ unfortunate Week 16 loss to Seattle, but there wasn’t much reason for him to risk it. He’ll be one of the top playoff best ball picks and DFS plays for this week with a solid matchup against the Panthers pass defense.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Odunze got in his first full practice on Friday and was removed from the injury report — his return figures to be key as the Bears try to take two of three games against the Packers. Chicago’s star receiver finished his season with a 44/661/6 line in 12 games and has not played since November 28. Lowered expectations make sense in a DFS setting, but the full practice gives us a little optimism.
  • FA Head Coach
The Dolphins are moving on from their head coach after four seasons, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. McDaniel met with owner Stephen Ross this week and Ross decided to move on from the 42-year-old coach despite his contract running through 2028. McDaniel’s Dolphins made the playoffs in his first two years, but were bounced in the Wild Card round each time and failed to make the playoffs each of the last two seasons. While the Dolphins held out the longest of any team that fired their coach so far, the writing was on the wall for McDaniel after a 1-6 start this season. There are now eight head coaching vacancies around the league. McDaniel could be a candidate for the Browns head coaching position, according to a previous report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, though an offensive coordinator position could also be an option for McDaniel.
  • FA Coaching Staff
While Bucaneers head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Wednesday that he’ll remain in charge in 2026, someone was needed in the wreckage after Tampa Bay went 2-8 in its last 10 games and missed the playoffs. Grizzard is out after one season as the Buccaneers offensive coordinator, a running theme under Bowles, who’ll have his fifth OC in five years in ’26. Grizzard attempted to run back Liam Coen’s offensive from 2024, when the Bucs were fourth in the league in scoring, but his Bucs managed just 22.4 points per game (18th in the league). Baker Mayfield will be on his eighth different offensive coordinator in the last nine seasons in ’26.
  • LAC Running Back #8
Harbaugh said that Hampton is “working through it” and “doing everything he can” to get the ankle better. Hampton neither practiced nor played last week, as the Chargers shut down multiple key starters, giving off the impression that Hampton’s absence was more of a precautionary move than anything else. Harbaugh’s comments, coupled with Hampton’s absence, suggest he is still working his way back from the ankle fracture he suffered in Week 5. Hampton’s per-game touch counts increased each week after the talented rookie resumed playing in Week 14, culminating in a 22-touch outing in Week 17. It was his second-largest workload of the year. We still think Hampton has strong odds of suiting up for the Chargers’ Wild Card Round game against the Patriots, though his practice participation should be followed closely.
  • BUF Tight End #86
Kincaid should be able to suit up in the Wild Card round against the Jaguars if he can practice in some capacity on Thursday and Friday. Kincaid, who had three receptions for 48 yards last week against the Jets, could be a key player for Buffalo as they face the NFL’s most extreme pass-funnel defense. Jacksonville allows 8.7 tight end targets per game, the second highest mark in the league.
  • PIT Head Coach
While Fowler conceded there “is no firm evidence as of now” that Tomlin will walk away from the Steelers head coaching job following the 2025-26 season, a source close to Tomlin “believes stepping away is at least a possibility.” Another source told Fowler Tomlin will return to the team for a 20th season at the helm. Fowlers said Tomlin “would be more intrigued by doing TV than returning to the coaching market, should he leave the Steelers. The source wonders what Tomlin has left to chase as an NFL coach.” The team rallied around Tomlin in December and January when it was clear his job could be on the line without a postseason berth. It’s possible Monday night will be Tomlin’s final game on the Pittsburgh sideline, however.
  • BUF Quarterback #17
Allen played just one snap in a meaningless Week 18 against the Jets after struggling with a foot injury the week before. Allen, among the toughest NFL players in recent memory, should be fine for the Bills’ Wild Card game against the Jaguars. Jacksonville’s ability to stop the run could force Allen into more drop backs than usual. He’s had more than 30 pass attempts in a game six times in 2025.
  • CIN Offensive Coordinator
Pitcher, 39, has garnered some head coaching interest in previous hiring cycles but has never been considered a leading candidate for any job. He would be a long shot to land the Browns head coaching job, though the team could fall back on Pitcher if other, more experienced candidates turn down one of the most thankless jobs in football. Pitcher is known for his work with quarterbacks — a key qualification for anyone who gets the head coaching gig in Cleveland. Pitcher once worked for the Colts scouting department alongside Browns general manager Andrew Berry.
