    Falcons signed TE Arthur Lynch.
Atlanta had an open roster spot with S Charles Godfrey retiring. A 2014 fifth-round pick, Lynch will add depth as an inline blocker. 26-year-old Lynch has never appeared in an NFL game.
  • FA Tight End
Dolphins signed fifth-round TE Arthur Lynch to a four-year, $2.4 million contract that includes an $185,000 signing bonus.
Lynch is the first Dolphins rookie to sign. A classic in-line tight end, Lynch projects as a blocking complement to pass-catcher Charles Clay. He will compete with 2013 fourth-round pick Dion Sims and Michael Egnew for No. 2 tight end duties in Miami.
  • FA Tight End
Dolphins selected Georgia TE Arthur Lynch with the No. 155 overall pick in the NFL draft.
Lynch (6-foot-4 5/8, 258) started 26 games for the Bulldogs, finishing his career with 56 catches for 907 yards (16.2 YPR) and eight touchdowns. SEC coaches voted him first-team all-conference as a senior. Lynch ran 4.82 at the Combine with a 29 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-8 broad jump. A classic in-line tight end, Lynch is a willing blocker but lacks athleticism and separation skills to become a significant passing-game asset. He’ll be a 24-year-old rookie, and we suspect Lynch would be stretched as more than a No. 2 tight end in the NFL.
  • FA Tight End
Jets claimed TE Arthur Lynch off waivers from the Dolphins.
Lynch was a fifth-round pick last year but missed his entire rookie season with a back injury. A pure blocker, he’s a body while TEs Jace Amaro (shoulder) and Steve Maneri (hamstring) are sidelined for the Jets.
  • FA Tight End
    Dolphins waived TE Arthur Lynch.
A fifth-round pick last year, Lynch missed all of his rookie season with a back injury. Lynch offers almost nothing in the passing game and is already 25. He may struggle to find a new home. LB James Davidson was signed in a corresponding move.
  • FA Tight End
Dolphins placed TE Arthur Lynch on injured reserve with a back injury, ending his season.
A fifth-round blocker, Lynch missed the entire preseason. He’ll be back to compete for one of the Dolphins’ final roster spots in 2015.
