Ken Barkley describes how he finds value this time of year betting college basketball, Steve Letarte talks about the Broncos trade acquiring Russell Wilson and his MVP chances, and Matt Bernier handicaps the slate tonight in the NHL.
Host of You Better You Bet, Ken Barkley joins the show to talk about college basketball. He is taking Iowa State (+8.5) tonight against Texas Tech and USC (-6.5) against Washington. Ken also dives into how potential 3-seeds like Tennessee, Purdue, and Wisconsin could have early exits in the NCAA Tournament this year and are extremely overvalued.
After a crazy week of Quarterback news in the NFL, Steve Letarte gives his thoughts on if he would bet Russell Wilson to win MVP (+1500). He also dives into Super Bowl futures and thinks the top teams - Bills, Chiefs, Packers - will contend, but feels the Ravens and Bengals (+1600) are both worth a shot at backing. Steve then dives into the Rouff Mortgage 500 in Phoenix this weekend, explaining why Kyle Larson (+400) Martin Truex Jr. (+700) and Chase Elliot (+800) are rightful favorites this week in the desert.
Finally, Matt Bernier joins Bet the Edge to discuss tonight’s slate in the NHL including a heavyweight matchup between the Avalanche and Hurricanes. Matt doesn’t have a bet in that game, but does have some action on Senators puck line (+175) vs the Kraken and Rangers ML (+100) at the Blues.
Vaughn and Drew wrap up today’s episode with their Edge of the Day plays. Drew likes the Warriors to cover the spread (-2.5) on the road against the Nuggets and Vaughn sees value in George Washington (+3.5) vs Massachusetts.
