Want to sit in the nosebleeds? $29 tickets will get you into the title game
CNBC’s Darren Rovell is reporting that tickets for tonight’s NCAA title game between Kansas and Kentucky have nearly bottomed out, with an entrance price of just $29.
Will it get you an awesome seat? Probably not. For $29 you could buy a couple DVDs or see the national championship game and have a view like the picture at the right.
I think most would prefer to kick back on a couch at home, surrounded by some friends, or head to the bar with buddies, rather than risk a nosebleed at the Superdome, but to each his own.
If you’re looking at the pricier end of things, the most expensive ticket for sale is $2,500, level with the baseline. They happen to be sold in a pair, so if you’re looking to take someone out on a date and have $5,000 to spare, go for it.
Rovell says the dip in cheap ticket prices is probably caused by the losses of Louisville and Ohio State, and the fact that there is no truly local team competing for the national championship.
