Big East Men’s Basketball

Michigan is No. 1 in The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll for the first time in 13 years, ending Arizona’s nine-week reign.
Staton-McCray also snagged five rebounds for the Pirates (18-8, 8-7 Big East Conference). Mike Williams III totaled 10 points and three steals.
Dylan Darling had 23 points and eight rebounds and No. 17 St. John’s scored eight straight points after a fracas that resulted in six ejections to take the lead and earn its 11th straight victory,
Six players were ejected from Saturday’s game between No. 17 St. John’s and Providence after a fracas resulting from a hard foul by Friars forward Duncan Powell.

Big East Women’s Basketball

Azzi Fudd scored 25 points, Sarah Strong had 19 of her 22 in the second half and No. 1 UConn remained unbeaten.
Azzi Fudd had 19 points, including three 3-pointers to become the 10th player in UConn history with 250 career threes.
Duke climbed up to No. 11 in The Associated Press women’s basketball Top 25 poll on Monday thanks to a 15-game winning streak.

Jeremy Fears Jr. had 16 points and 10 assists, leading No. 15 Michigan State to an 82-59 win over UCLA. The Spartans (21-5, 11-4 Big Ten) bounced back with a strong showing after losing three of their past four games.
